Behind the Session - 3 Bridges Yoga Brand Photo + Video

This brand session was a dream collaboration, years in the making. After hearing nearly everyone in the community sing Steph's praises, I finally had the fortune of meeting Steph (the owner of 3 Bridges Yoga) in person last year on retreat in Mexico with Sarah Oleson. I instantly knew why Steph is so beloved in our community - she has the biggest heart and exudes pure joy.

When our mutual friend was working to update the 3BY website, they re-connected me with Steph and the rest to capture updated brand photos to help bring the website and updated brand vision to life…

And as they say, the rest is history.

Sessions like this are always such a dream for several reasons. Being able to work with such a valued and esteemed business and pillar of the community (both in 3BY and Steph), being trusted to bring the creative visions of other entrepreneurs to life, and having the joy and honor of creating with friends.

Before the shoot, I was able to chat in-depth with the brand/web designer AJ to dial in exactly what 3BY wanted and needed from the imagery from the session. From a logistical perspective, we were able to hone in on exactly what kind of images were needed for each page, whether we needed them vertical or horizontal, which specific offerings we needed to create imagery for, and so much more.

We went into the session with a detailed plan and the day was such a joy because it flowed so effortlessly.

One of the pillars of the 3 Bridges Yoga brand is cultivating a place for community and a home away from home for its students. As soon as I arrived, the community aspect was fully felt, as Steph had an entire mock class of fellow teachers and student volunteers present and ready to go. We organized yoga mats, rotated through each instructor as they led a sequence, and I moved throughout the space to capture photos and videos of it all. Yoga teacher trainings are another significant pillar of 3BY, so we gathered some of their most-used YTT books and staged a few teacher scenarios to capture.

We finished the day by pulling out all the props to capture imagery for specific class and workshop offerings at 3BY and a grand finale of teacher headshots for the updated website.

The entire project is one I'm still so incredibly proud of because both the final photos and final videos truly captures the spirit and warmth of the energy Steph has cultivated at 3 Bridges Yoga. It was such an honor to have a small part in capturing that magick.

If you’re ever in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area and looking for a yoga studio, make sure you check out 3 Bridges Yoga.

“HONEY MY HEART!

I love them all. You’re simply the best. I cannot thank you enough for capturing my studio and my team with such authenticity and love.

Thank you so much!!!!!

A few weeks later, I had the honor of seeing the photo and video from the session come to life on the updated 3BridgesYoga.com, and I have to admit friend it moved me to tears! It felt like a true testament to the power of collaboration and reaffirmed why I love doing what I do. To help Steph bring her vision for an updated website to life and to help capture the heart of what she has built is such a gift. I am forever grateful to Steph (and AJ) for the gift of this co-creation.
