Let the practice move you
Let the practice move you.
It is oh, so easy to simply step onto the mat. To simply move your limbs.
It is so much harder to step onto the mat and into your body. Into yourself, your being.
It is so much harder to feel all of the things you don’t want to feel. The things you want to avoid, the things you want to bury.
It is so much harder to dig deep, into the hidden pockets of your soul. To dredge up the pieces you swore you would never even acknowledge.
It is so much harder to look those unseemly bits in the face. To tell them to fuck off. To tell them they do not hold power over you. To tell them that they are NOT YOU.
To let them go. And to let the practice move you into a space beyond.
Beyond those dirty, ugly, unwelcome pieces. Beyond the confines of ‘should’, ‘should not’, ‘can’, and ‘cannot’. Beyond the parts of your mind that question.
So that you can arrive, within yourself, anew.
Every time.
Let this practice move you.
Be moved.
