Behind the Session - Inbar

When Inbar reached out about her session, she was insistent on infusing a more dramatic, primal element into the experience. As a trained dancer, Inbar has incredibly body awareness and can communicate emotion so powerfully through movement. I knew as soon as she reached out that we were going to create something magickal together.

I always love discovering new ways to challenge myself in new ways during a session. At this time in my career, I tended toward a much more light & airy mood for all of my sessions. When Inbar request something intentionally dramatic & moody, I was looking forward to the chance to step outside of my comfort zone.

I did some research and found the perfect location to serve as a backdrop: a nearby abandoned castle. I don’t think I could have dreamed up a more perfect location.

We arrived on a blistery winter day & walked up the steep hill, and as soon as we saw the crumbling, stony castle remains, we knew this was the spot.

I played some music while Inbar warmed up & then together we danced our way from one spot to another while the story unfolded.

This is one of those sessions where we didn’t have to do much talking. Inbar and I were so in tune, feeling our way through everything, that mostly, words weren’t needed.

At the end of the session, with tears in my eyes, I looked at her filled with gratitude.

I will never stop being grateful for opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone with you. For any chance to help you channel your inner power & for the opportunity to fully witness you in your magick.

Are you ready to be fully witnessed?
