General Questions about Working Together

• Where are you based, and do you travel?

  I’m based in southern Maine and travel worldwide for retreats, brand sessions, and destination experiences. Travel is coordinated after booking and handled clearly and transparently so everything stays easy on your end.

• I don’t live in Maine, can we still create together?

  Absolutely. Most of my clients travel in, and many sessions take place outside of Maine entirely. Brand Magick, Video Magick, Retreat Magick, and MYTHIC LEGACY are all available worldwide.

• Do you offer mini sessions?

  Mini sessions aren’t available as stand-alone bookings. They’re offered only as an add-on for Retreat Magick clients wanting attendee portraits woven into the retreat experience.

• What kinds of clients do you work best with?

  Visionary women entrepreneurs, creatives, retreat leaders, and practitioners who value depth, embodiment, artistry, and intention. My work is for those who want to be fully seen: in their leadership, in their lineage, and in their next era.

• What is your editing and retouching style?

  Cinematic, true-to-tone, warm, and refined. I don’t alter bodies or features beyond reality; I keep the imagery feeling like you, in your fullest essence.

• Do you use AI in your editing or creative workflow?

  No. All photo and video editing is done by me, by hand, with no AI culling, retouching, or manipulation involved.

• How far in advance should I book?

  • Brand + Video Magick: 2–4 months

  • Initiation Immersion: 2–4 months

  • Retreat Magick: 6–12 months

  • MYTHIC LEGACY: 3–8 months

  I take on a limited number of clients each year so each experience remains deeply personalized.

• Do you help with creative direction?

  Always. Creative direction is woven into every experience: from location and wardrobe guidance to emotional tone, movement, and cinematic storytelling.

• What happens after I inquire?

  You’ll receive a reply confirming details. Once we finalize your date and location, I’ll send your contract and invoice. Your date is officially booked once your retainer is paid and your contract is signed.

• How long does it take to receive my photos or videos?

  Turnaround times vary by offer, but each experience has a clearly defined delivery window in your prep guide and contract. Galleries are always delivered on time and with care.

BRAND MAGICK + VIDEO MAGICK

• Do you have your own studio?

  No. I intentionally shoot in locations that support movement, expression, and story: indoor spaces, curated rentals, nature, client homes, and environments chosen to match your visual tone.

• Am I limited to one location?

  Not at all. As long as it fits within the session window, we can explore multiple spaces that support your brand aesthetic and the emotional tone of your session.

• What should I wear for my session?

  Choose clothing you can breathe and move in. After booking, you’ll receive my detailed prep guide to help you select outfits that support your energy and the story we’re telling.

• Will you help pose me during the photoshoot?

  Yes: through somatic, intuitive, body-led direction. Nothing rigid, nothing performative. I guide through breath, subtle movement, grounding, and micro-expressions so you always feel supported.

• Do I need to get my hair and makeup done?

  Optional. Some clients arrive as their most natural selves; others choose HMUA for a polished, elevated version of their everyday look.

• What’s the difference between Brand Magick and Video Magick?

  Brand Magick is cinematic photography.
  Video Magick is a full-day, somatic-supported video immersion.
  

  Both are high-touch and transformational, the difference is simply the medium.

• Will you help with creative direction for my session?

  100%. Creative direction is a core part of my process. I support you with: location ideas, wardrobe alignment, brand storytelling guidance, session flow and pacing, and more.

  You’re not expected to show up knowing what to do…that’s my job. This is a co-creative experience that blends your vision and my expertise.

RETREAT MAGICK

• Do you travel for retreats?

  Yes, I travel worldwide for Retreat Magick. I’ve captured retreats across North America, Central America, and Europe, and travel is a built-in part of my creative rhythm. Once we confirm your retreat dates and location, we’ll chat about travel details to keep everything seamless for you.

• How far in advance should I book you?

  Most leaders book 6-9 months in advance. I take on a limited number of retreats each year to maintain the high-touch experience and depth of attention this work requires. If your retreat is coming up soon, it’s still worth reaching out, openings shift throughout the year.

• Do you offer hybrid photo + video coverage?

  Yes, and it’s one of the things I’m known for.
  Retreat Magick blends cinematic video, emotive photography, and an instinctive understanding of retreat dynamics. Instead of choosing between photos or video, you receive a cohesive visual ecosystem that captures the full arc of your retreat.

• Do you offer half-day coverage or single-day retreats?

  No. Retreat Magick has a 3-day minimum to ensure I can capture the full emotional arc of your retreat: the depth, the breakthroughs, the sisterhood, and the transformation that unfolds over time. Retreats aren’t one-day experiences, and the way I document them isn’t either.

• What makes Retreat Magick different from other retreat photographers?

  Retreat Magick blends intuitive photography, cinematic videography, and somatic awareness into one cohesive experience. Instead of standing on the sidelines, I enter the room with your leadership and hold the emotional nuance of the container while I document it. My approach honors the depth, transformation, and sisterhood your retreat is built on, and the visuals become a living legacy you can use long after the retreat ends.

• Can I request specific shots or moments?

  Absolutely. Every retreat is different, and I want to make sure your visuals support your vision. Before the retreat, you’ll receive a detailed questionnaire where you can share priority moments, themes, or must-capture elements. During the retreat, I blend your requests with my intuitive, documentary approach so nothing feels staged or forced.

• How many hours per day do you cover during the retreat?

  Each retreat day includes full day, intentional hybrid coverage, spaced throughout the day to capture the most meaningful windows of your retreat. This typically looks like 4-5 hours total, spread throughout the course of the day to capture all of the moments that matter most.
  It’s designed for emotional pacing and depth, not all-day filming.

INITIATION IMMERSION

• Where is the Initiation Immersion held?

  All Initiation Immersions take place on my historic property in Limerick, Maine: a private, nature-rich sanctuary with fruit trees, quartz-filled fields, and a 20-foot canvas bell temple tent. The land is part of the ceremony.

• How long is the Immersion?

  The Immersion is a 6–8 hour private retreat immersion, crafted to follow the rhythm of your body, the land, and the ceremonial flow of the day.

• What’s included in the experience?

  Every Immersion includes a vision + planning call, a detailed prep guide, guided movement, ritual, nature-led creation, nourishing meals, cinematic photo + video, somatic support, drone capture when conditions allow, and opening + closing ceremonies.

• Do you offer payment plans?

  Yes. An $888 retainer secures your date, and the remaining balance is due 7 days before your Immersion.

• How do I know if I’m ready for an Initiation Immersion?

  If you’ve been feeling a quiet pull, a rising chapter within you, or a desire to be witnessed more deeply in your truth, this is your invitation. The Initiation Immersion is for the woman who is ready to honor a threshold moment in her life, one she can feel, even if she can’t fully name it yet.

MYTHIC LEGACY

• Where does MYTHIC LEGACY take place?

  ANYWHERE YOUR IMAGINATION TAKES US! Each MYTHIC LEGACY experience takes place in an international destination, chosen to match your brand world. My team and I handle all all the details and logistics, your only travel responsibility is your flight.

• How long is the experience?

  MYTHIC LEGACY is a 3-night, 4-day private destination weekend with a fully curated schedule blending somatics, styling, glam, rituals, and multiple creative windows.

• What makes MYTHIC LEGACY different from a traditional brand shoot?

  This is a white-glove, all-inclusive cinematic immersion, not a photoshoot. You’re held in ceremony, styling, glam, somatics, world-building, and full-scale visual creation that forms the foundation of your brand legacy for years. Every detail is handled for you.

• What’s included in my investment?

  Your investment covers: the destination property, all meals, glam artist, styling support, creative direction, photo/video/drone, Monica’s travel and lodging, and full weekend production.
  You cover only your personal flight and optional extras (spa, shopping, childcare).

BOOKING + POLICIES

• How do I book?

  Send an inquiry form. Once we confirm your date and details, you’ll receive your contract and invoice. Your date is officially reserved when your retainer is paid and your contract is signed.

• Are retainers refundable?

  All retainers are non-refundable and secure your date.

• What is your rescheduling policy?

  Rescheduling is possible only under specific circumstances and based on availability. A reschedule fee may be applied. Policies are outlined clearly in your contract.

• Do you offer payment plans?

  Yes, each offer includes its own payment plan structure.

• Do you guarantee deliverables by a certain date?

  Yes. Delivery timelines are clearly communicated and stated in your contract.
