Somatics and embodiment can feel like buzzwords these days. Put simply these words mean reconnecting and coming home to your body. Our lives are designed and conditioned to continually disconnect us from our bodies and their innate wisdom. Reclaiming the connection to your body and learning to truly listen to what the body has to say is one of the most powerful tools for healing and learning to hold yourself.
This guided practice can be used daily to help you tune in to your body and your foundation, and learn to listen and honor what’s being communicated. No movement or dance experience is necessary. The only requirements are a wild curiosity and a desire to listen to yourself and your body. This somatic practice can be adapted into a part of your daily routine.
