More than pretty photos
I often think about the real power within this work and how it’s about so much more than ‘pretty’ pictures.
I remember how it felt the first time I looked at a photograph of myself and felt like I actually *saw* myself. And how profoundly that changed me after years of battling body dysmorphia and wishing desperately to change what I saw in the mirror.
I can still feel how it felt in my body when I saw myself in that photo and didn't instantly tear every bit of me apart. How it felt to look at that woman and truly see her beauty, her power. And to know that the woman I was looking at was me.
Initiation Ceremony sessions are that feeling encapsulated.
