The power of finding your people ✨

Sometimes you find yourself immersed in a moment and as it unfolds you can already feel a core memory being etched deep into your mind, heart, and soul 

Moments when you know you’re surrounded by the magick and safety of family (chosen, blood-related or otherwise) and it all just feels *right* 

Finding your people feels like the perfect curves and softness of your favorite worn-in clothes. It feels like stepping into the sunlight on the first warm spring day after a long, cold winter. It feels like that first bite of the most delicious meal you’ve had in years. It feels like being able to be your silliest, weirdest, cringiest self without fear of judgement or abandonment. 

And more than anything it feels like coming home. 🏡

For me, this whole trip in Shasta felt like that. Nearly every moment of every day with each of these women felt like I was coming home to parts of myself I had long forgotten existed. 

Being surrounded with the love and pain and mess of our human experiences and each of us still being held and seen in it all. 

Dancing, singing, laughing, crying, moving, sipping on cacao, climbing mountains, staring into each others eyes, and creating space to come home to ourselves again and again and again. 

Trying to capture the heart of this magical feeling and experience will never be fully possible, but this video feels like a small window into the life-changing week spent in the California mountains.
