I don’t take photos for Instagram
I don’t take photographs for Instagram
Now that I have your attention, let me explain...
There are a lot of folks who intentionally capture and create images explicitly with the intention to be shared on social media & @instagram. Capturing brands or individuals, events or content to be used for promotion: it makes sense. We do live in the digital age, after all.
But my work is something a bit different...
I have captured thousands of images that will likely never be posted on social media, and I’m absolutely okay with that...
Because I don’t take photos for Instagram
I take photos for the human in front of the lens 👑
I take photos for the moment when things shift from hesitant and unsure to embodied and powerful
I take photos so that you can see yourself the way I see you right now. All of your beauty, power and magic
I take photos to help transform those unconsciously ingrained thoughts and beliefs of ‘not-enough-ness’ or ‘imperfection’ into thoughts about how incredible you are *right now*
I love seeing my friends and clients share their images and experience online, but, for me, Instagram share-ability is the furthest thing from my mind when I’m behind the lens. .
My focus, my intention, is on the human in front of the lens and ensuring that their experience and the images they receive are something they will deeply treasure forever
Embracing yourself & witnessing yourself and all your magic is an experience you deserve
