Sometimes it really is that simple

You don’t have to show up as anyone else for your shoot.
You don’t have to perform some supposed ‘perfect’ idea of yourself for the camera.
You don’t even have to wear makeup or put on any fancy outfits.

You can just show up, exactly as you are, and shine.

In the days leading up to this moment @sheaisawesome approached me a few times to let me know she was more than a little nervous about her time in front of the camera.
We talked about what she could expect and at the end of it all, I reminded her: “I got you” .
When the moment came, Shea opted to put on one of the skirts I brought and get in the water. We walked over to this rock and within seconds, I saw the nerves fall away and watched her completely come alive. ✨

I asked Shea to let her hair down and…well, as you can see she totally fucking owned her inner goddess.
In that light, on that rock and in that moment, I saw Shea fully embrace every single part of her magic [I mean...come on, she’s literally glowing in this image! 😭] And one of my favorite parts about this moment, is that it came after 2 days of camping in the woods, after 2 days of creek-bathin’ & yoga & hot tubbin’ & sitting around the camp fire.
It came while she was wearing a bathing suit top and a borrowed skirt, no makeup, no fancy hair-do.

It was just Shea, on a rock at sunset, letting her inner glow take center stage.
It was Shea letting herself be seen. 😍

And you know what…
Sometimes it really is that simple
